AGE REQUIREMENT: For small cars drivers must be over 21 years of age. For any other vehicle group, min age of the driver must be 25. (for drivers under 25 years old a Young Drivers Fee of €20+VAT/rental will incur). Maximum age for all groups is 70 years old.
PAYMENT METHOD: For all cars a valid
Credit Card accepted by MAK RENTAL CARS , must be shown for all necessary pre-authorization amounts as well as pre-payments and settlement of final rental charges or cash,with a minimum charge of €500 for the small-medium categories and €2000 for luxury categories.
DRIVING LICENSE: A valid driving license held for at least 3 years is required from the driver.
GRACE PERIOD: At the end of the agreed rental period, MAK RENTAL CARS allows a grace period of 30 minutes free of charge after which, the renter will be charged with a minimum of one full day rental.
Fines: Renting a car in Cyprus, the renter is responsible for all parking and traffic violations during the rental period.
INSURANCE: All authorized drivers of MAK RENTAL CARS vehicles are covered against Liability Insurance to Third Party death, injury, and property. This is subject to General Terms of the MAK RENTAL CARS insurance contract with the Cypriot car incurance cartel as defined by the law.
COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW) PERSONAL ACCIDENT COVERAGE(PAC) OPTIONAL : Collision damage waiver is included in the price. With Collision Damage waiver (CDW) the renters liability for damage to the rented vehicle, is reduced, under the condition that the Cyprus Traffic Law is not violated.
THEFT PROTECTION (TP): Theft protection is an optional service which, if accepted, allows the renter to reduce the Liability for theft of MAK RENTAL CARS .
INCIDENT ADMINISTRATION FEE (IAF): In case of an accident due to the renter’s liability, renter has the obligation to pay to MAK RENTAL CARS a non-refundable fee of €30 to cover administration expenses.
AIRPORT CHARGE (ASC): The charge applicable for delivery and collection of the rental car airports in Cyprus is €25.
GASOLINE PRE-PAYMENT POLICY: The customer has to deliver the car with the amount of fuel he has received.
REFUELLING SERVICE CHARGE: €20.00
ADDITIONAL DRIVER/S: A charge of €6 per day has to be paid for each additional Driver.
BABY SEATS: Available on request with a daily charge of €4.
GPS: Available on request with a daily charge of €5.
PROHIBITION:
Smoking inside the car, the exit of the border ,the boatload , is forbiten to drive to a dirt roadway in the event of an accident not covered by the insurance and the same not cover the lost of keys and car tire .For these reasons the minimum charge is €150
.
COLLECTION / DELIVERY: Every collection or delivery which does not take place at a MAK RENTAL CARS location shall be charged €10 (city rate). Outside the city limits the charge shall be €30 each way. The charge for every delivery or collection Outside Working Hours is €20.
TAXES: All rates and charges mentioned above are subjected to V.A.T.
